CDC Website Updated!

We're thrilled to announce to the public that the Chamber & Development Council of Crawford County's website has undergone a significant update and is ready for you to explore! Head over to cdcia.org to experience our refreshed look and enhanced features firsthand. Our team has been hard at work and is still ensuring everything runs smoothly, but we couldn't wait to show you the exciting new features that await.

Our updated website (cdcia.org) has a fresh look and enhanced functionality, including a members-only login portal. Here are some other highlights from our updated website:

• Promotions- a dedicated space for our members to post their store's offers, sales, and events.
• News- stay up to date with the latest news from our CDC members.
• Jobs- search for career opportunities from CDC members.
• Community Calendar Event Submission- although this is not new and does not need to be accessed through the members-only portal, it does have a new look.
• The public can access these via our website and links will be included to the features in every weekly newsletter. Click each link in bold above to see how they look.

We invite you to explore the new website and discover all that it has to offer. If you have any questions, comments, or feedback, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

CDC Ribbon Cutting

April 11th

Join the Chamber & Development Council of Crawford County (CDC) for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at The Old Fashioned in Denison on Thursday, April 11th at 4 PM. We are excited to welcome The Old Fashioned bar into our community. Everyone is welcome to attend! 

Women in Business Luncheon & Awards

April 24th

Join us for the CDC's Annual Women in Business Luncheon on Wednesday, April 24th from noon to 1 PM! Tickets are $15 and include a meal catered by Staley's. The City of Denison's Mayor, Pam Soseman, will be the guest speaker where she will talk about Denison's current initiatives, encouraging women in leadership positions, and getting involved in your communities.

The Emerging Women in Business and Businesswoman of the Year awards will be presented. To nominate a woman for these awards, click here or the button below.

April Networking Events

Mark your calendars for April's Networking Events! Coffee Connections will be held on April 16th from 8 AM-9 AM. Business After 5 will be held on April 30th from 5 PM-6 PM. Both events will be at the CDC Office. All CDC Members are invited to attend both events. This is an excellent opportunity for you to expand your network and connect with like-minded individuals in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Denison City Lots Request For Bid (RFB)

The City of Denison, Iowa is currently accepting sealed bids for 2 separate lots in Oak Ridge Heights. The city retains the right to refuse any and all bids. Deadline for sealed bid is April 23, 2024 at 11:59 a.m. The property is zoned Residential. A minimum bid of $1000 is required to be considered. A structure(s) must be started within twelve (12) months from date of closing. Structure must be built and completed within two (2) years from date of closing. A Licensed and Bonded Contractor/Builder must be hired for the construction of the residential structure. For questions, contact Denison City Hall at 712-263-3143 or adminassist@denisonia.com.

Boy Scout Paper Drive

The Boy Scouts of Troop 55 in Denison will hold the April paper drive on Saturday, April 13th at the Pronto parking lot. The Scouts will be there from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM to help you unload your tied, bundled or sacked newspapers. You may bring your acceptable papers in either paper bags or cardboard boxes; please no plastic bags.

Please limit cardboard.
