Comcast NBCUniversal Awards $1550K in Scholarships to 62 High School Seniors
Comcast NBCUniversal today announced it has awarded approximately $155,000 in scholarships for the 2020-2021 school year to 62 students across Southeast Pennsylvania, New Jersey and northern Delaware as part of its annual Leaders and Achievers® Scholarship Program. Students are selected for their outstanding community service, academic performance and leadership skills. The award, funded by the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation, is a one-time, $2,500 scholarship to be used toward undergraduate education-related expenses. Since 2001, more than $34 million has been awarded to about 30,000 high school seniors across the country as part of the Leaders and Achievers program.

Project Refit is a local non-profit with a national reach! We are hosting a Car Cruise on July 11 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM to say thank you to the front line workers and our military (past/present). We are also doing this to raise funds to support a brand new piece of technology we launched in MAY called Blue Skies. We will meet at a starting point (TBA) drive-by a retirement home for veterans then drive past a hospital to honor military and front line workers in one shot. We will then drive to our endpoint where we will take a picture of your vehicle as you roll in to park. Once You are parked we will all connect through ZOOM!

Trenton Mayor W. Reed Gusciora, Trenton City Council President Kathy McBride and Greater Trenton CEO George Sowa announced that on May 21, 2020 Trenton City Council unanimously approved, with the endorsement of Mayor Reed Gusciora, Greater Trenton’s Businesses Helping Businesses initiative. This initiative will provide private funds to supplement the City of Trenton’s existing $2 million Urban Enterprise Zone ("UEZ") revolving loan program.
