Get the most out of business networking!
Networking is a lot of fun! Business networking is when a group of like-minded business people gather and help each other. It might take a while before people feel comfortable with offering you a referral. To get the most out of your networking experience, you need to build a relationship with people who you want to have contact with. Building and nurturing professional relationships also improves the quality of work and increases job satisfaction.
When networking, spend most of your time and effort on people who can help each other out, for the long term. When attending an event, it is key to meet and build rapport. Next step is to follow up after the event. Meet for coffee or lunch to begin the foundation for mutual success.
"If people like you they'll listen to you, but if they trust you they'll do business with you." -
Zig Ziglar
