Dear Parents,

No global pandemic can stop the spirit of the season from coming to CCPC! This morning as I headed into the building after drop-off, the Tree Frogs were marching along the sidewalk ringing jingle bells and singly happily as they went! It is these moments that bring the real joy of the season (and of school being in session) into focus for me. What a blessing to have our children here reminding all of us that life goes on and we should enjoy every moment.

Last chance to donate to the 2020 Annual Fund campaign! Many thanks to our committee, chaired by Charlie and Devon McCombs, for their enthusiasm that translated into an amazing number of generous gifts. In this challenging financial year, these funds are so very meaningful.

On behalf of all our staff, thanks to our Room Parents for organizing holiday gifts. Your generosity is so appreciated and goes a long way in helping teachers make the holidays special at their homes. Teachers are ready to relax over winter break and look forward to the arrival of a vaccine early in 2021 for us. As of now, teachers should be in Phase1b of DC's rollout.

Facts Over Fear:

Moving Forward through the Pandemic

Join Director Noni Lindahl, pediatrician Dr. Ashley Moss, and CCPC parent and PhD in Biophysics Kath Ratcliff for an informative look at COVID-19. Our discussion will focus on local data, how COVID is presenting in young children, current testing best practices, and what a vaccine means for the winter and spring.

A Question & Answer session will be included.

Snow/Weather Closing Policy

With DCPS running virtually, we will make our own decisions regarding weather closures. Decisions are made in consideration of both the anticipated weather and the conditions of facility sidewalks, our alley, and Chevy Chase Parkway being cleared for safe parking.

You will receive an email with the subject "CCPC Weather Notice" with either a one hour delayed opening or a full closure announcement. We do not offer virtual instruction on snow days. Emails will be sent by 7:00am.

If you do not hear from us, we are open on our usual schedule.
