Parent News
September 2021
Greetings!

The school year is launched! Thanks to all our parents for adhering to our Covid protocols and participating in our weekly community testing program. We're all in this together and will work in tandem to keep our community safe. I am pleased to see case rates dropping while vaccination rates continue to go up in our region. A link to the Back to School zoom is below to review any policies or you can always check our website.

It is a true joy to see all the children in the classrooms and on our playground. Learning is all around, whether it is creativity and imaginations soaring in the housekeeping/dramatic play area, complex block building on the rug, lively discussions at snack time, or cooperative team work and appropriate risk-taking on the playground. The children are thriving at CCPC.

Our dedicated teachers are guiding, observing, and leading your children in developmentally appropriate activities throughout our busy mornings. And we are all having so much fun together!

See you at the Family BBQ on Sunday at 4pm!

Children within these larger cohorts may be included together in an Extended Day class. Note: Hillside and Blue Sky classes (Toddlers and Twos) are not eligible for Extended Day.

If you would like to join the fun, please email School Systems Manager, Linda Alder
At this time, we will not be able to offer Early Drop Off

Health and Safety Protocols

Please visit our home page or "For Our Parents" page for details about current Covid-19 Exclusion and Dismissal Criteria for our community, including teaching staff vaccination rates and Mayor Bowser's new workplace mandate.

Teachers are now eligible to receive their Pfizer boosters. Head's up, there may be some absences if anyone has a strong reaction and needs a day of rest following their appointment.
