Quote of the Week

"Once society loses its capacity to declare that some

things are wrong per se, then it finds itself building

temporary defenses, revising rationales, drawing new lines - but forever falling back and losing it's nerve.

A society that permits anything,

will lose everything."

Governor Grisham is disarming legal gun owners- in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County

From Dan Parrott @ the Picacho Gun Club:

  •  New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham recently declared a “public health emergency” for the next month and has banned the carrying of weapons—permitted or not, concealed, or open – throughout the City of Albuquerque and the unincorporated area of Bernalillo County. Please take time to call and write you representatives demanding the non-sense be stopped. These people (the Governor and representatives) have taken an oath of office to uphold our constitution. So where do they get off on the fact that they disobey the constitution and ignore their oaths of office while ordering the citizens around like they are dictators. It is way past time we get off our butts and demand better from our officials who have forgotten that they work for us and not us working for them!

CALLS TO ACTION

ACTION STILL REQUIRED

CCIA HAS BEEN RUNNING SEVERAL CALLS OF ACTION ON URGENT ISSUES THIS WEEK. CLICK BELOW ON OUR WEBSITE'S ACTION ALERTS TO RESPOND AND LET'S KEEP THE PRESSURE ON.

ACTION ALERTS

Message From the Chair

HANG TOGETHER OR HANG SEPARATELY

Hello CCIA Team

Tough but Rewarding Week.....

Engaged in the battles lines on two fronts...

  1. We joined the NMFA (Sarah) to support the Young Americans for Freedom (YAF). We also collaborated in a CTA against the removal of the invocation from the County Commission. https://conservativesinaction.org/aa/
  2. We reached out to the DAC GOP to extend our reach in fighting issues impacting Party members as well as our advocacy initiatives.

Some takeaways from this week...

  • We need to get out of our silos and conclude we are in a tight fight. If we don't hang together, we will hang separately.
  • We have a great line up of candidates who are scheduled to speak in the coming weeks. Take advantage of this time, get to know them after the meeting and continue to challenge them on issues.
  • And finally, GET OUT AND VOTE. We have an opportunity this year to flip seats. Campaigns need callers and knockers. Remember, only 12-14% of Las Crucans vote in local elections.

Moms For Liberty

Sarah Jane's Bio

Sarah Jane Allen is the founder and President of New Mexico Alive!

Sarah Jane was raised on a small farm; she met her husband while attending Brigham Young University.

After graduating, they created their home in Albuquerque and built a successful small business. They have loved raising their six beautiful children here.

The events of 2020 lit a fire within Sarah Jane’s heart. She felt her sacred right of agency was removed by those at all levels of New Mexico’s government. As a direct result, Sarah Jane committed her life to making New Mexico a place where families and businesses can prosper. After dedicating many years to serving on her local PTAs, she was inspired to help our public schools thrive and move forward.

Sarah Jane founded the first Moms for Liberty chapter in New Mexico. In 2021, she faithfully helped pro-freedom candidates win APS School Board positions. After more than 25 years, the school board finally has a new voice of reason.

Determined to end New Mexico’s legacy of low expectations, Sarah Jane combined her efforts with Dale Armstrong, a successful business owner and founder of VIANTE New Mexico. Together, they personally tracked down and brought in our nation’s leading political, grassroots, and digital marketing experts. Under Dale and Sarah Jane’s leadership, New Mexico Alive! and its team of experts are ready to fight for freedom in New Mexico.

Crime in Las Cruces and a Failed Approach

We need to call out the ineffective approach to addressing crime in LC. The City Council has FAILED the city of Las Cruces. Please review the "LC Hall of Shame" below and determine if it is succeeding or failing. Not one word on consequences and deterrence.

The city council must “address the root causes of our most pressing crime and public safety challenges by investing in public health approaches to interrupt cycles of trauma and addiction,” Abeyta said on her campaign website.
