We serve you so you can serve the community

CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF SERVICE

Hurricane Katrina, 2005

Hurricane Maria, Puerto Rico 2017

Bribri Community, Costa Rica 2024

Can you believe it? We’ve been responding to disasters and helping communities for three whole decades! That’s 30 years of service, over 20,000 volunteers, 12 countries and hundreds of communities impacted around the globe. As we start our fourth decade, we’ve decided it’s time to reflect on our accomplishments to inform the work we still need to do.

We’re excited to introduce Community Collaborations International's new logo that reflects our basic values—team work, global awareness, and our commitment to taking action when we identify a problem.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Did you know? Our journey started 30 years ago, with a mission to help Alaska Native youth qualify for funding through the newly established AmeriCorps National Service Program. From those early days in Alaska, we’ve expanded our horizons far and wide. Today, we’ve completed hundreds of projects across the U.S. and in 12 countries, touching lives and creating positive change wherever we go.

WHAT'S NEW?

We’re not just sprucing up our look—we’re also doubling down on what we do best: supporting volunteers like you and the incredible communities we serve. Expect even more streamlined operations, better resources, and a renewed commitment to making every project impactful and meaningful.

“Volunteers are the heart of what we do. Our rebrand is a commitment to better serve them, providing the support, tools, and opportunities they need to make a meaningful difference. At the same time, we are reinforcing our promise to the communities we work with, ensuring that our projects continue to meet their needs and create sustainable change.”

Steve Boisvert, CCI Founder

WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW?

We’re not just about the projects we’ve completed—we’re about the work that still needs to be done responding to natural disasters, environmental degradation, and economic hardship in these times of increasing challenges.

Right now, we are recruiting Volunteer Teams to work with our community partners during upcoming Winter and Spring Breaks. Help us start out our next 30 years of service strong by sending a volunteer team to work on one of our current projects. We can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together with our new look and the same strong commitment to service.

Check out our new Volunteer Team Sign Up Form and put your team on our calendar to volunteer on one of our Current Projects.

OTHER WAYS TO HELP

Not everyone can take a week of their life to travel to these communities suffering from disaster like our student volunteers do, but most people can chip in to help us get the job done.

ARE YOU A CCI ALUMNI?

As we looked back on 30 years of CCI projects we realized we don’t have many pictures of some of our projects and we have lost track of some of our Alumni. We are launching the CCI Alumni Photo Contest to help document our history and connect with Alumni. So let’s take a moment to reminisce.
