We hope this edition of the CCAA Counselor Corner (CCC) finds you healthy and well. The official start of spring was earlier this week and we are so excited to see the beautiful blooms and sunny weather popping up all across the country at our member campuses.
With the end of the school year fast approaching, we know your days are busy. To help, we've filled this newsletter issue with resources and information to hopefully help make your days a little easier. Keep reading to find information about our upcoming April Counselor Town Hall Session, a helpful summary of key takeaways from the recent National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students annual conference, some Lenten resources and prayers to help you prepare for Easter, and for details and a link to the 2024 National CCAA First-Year Scholarship application, which we hope you'll encourage all of your seniors to apply for.
Whether you're counting down the days until spring break, summer vacation, or just the weekend, know that we're rooting for you. We hope you can take some time this weekend to celebrate your hard work this school year and to cheer on some of our National CCAA member schools as they play in the March Madness basketball tournament!

April Virtual Counselor Town Hall

2024 NCAA March Madness - Good Luck to Our CCAA Member Schools!
Join us in wishing good luck to all of our National CCAA member colleges and universities that qualified for this year's NCAA Men's and Women's March Madness tournaments! We'll be cheering for them as they begin the first and second rounds of tournament play today through this weekend.

In February, several members of our Transfer Task Force traveled St. Louis to attend the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) 2024 annual conference. To learn more about the key takeaways and action items that were discussed during the conference, please view this summary created by Task Force members.
Our fall counselor town hall session also featured members of the National CCAA Transfer Task Force on Zoom as they addressed some of the topics affecting students considering transferring to four-year colleges and universities.

Educators Interested in Catholic Education SIG (Special Interest Group)
Have you joined the Educators Interested in Catholic Education SIG yet?
The mission of the Educators Interested in Catholic Education SIG is to discuss and work collaboratively on challenges and opportunities that impact educators in Catholic high schools, colleges, and universities, and to foster community between high school and post secondary professionals with an interest in Catholic education*.
With registration for the 2024 NACAC Conference in Los Angeles opening soon, here are the steps you can take to connect with the SIG:

Create and/or update your profile in NACAC Engage -- you will do this via your existing NACAC Profile in the NACAC User Hub, which is where you will eventually register for the NACAC Conference.

Once you've created your profile, please join this Community: Educators Interested in Catholic Education SIG (Special Interest Group).
- When you register for the NACAC Conference, you will be asked to select up to three SIG Meetings – and we hope you will choose the Educators Interested in Catholic Education SIG as one of your three options.
*All educators are welcome; working at a Catholic affiliated school is not required.
