CASS's Norton and Ramsey Social Justice Empowerment Center (NREC) receives Congressional Recognition

Last week CASS's Norton and Ramsey Social Justice Empowerment Center (NREC) and its dedicated team had the privilege of receiving Congressional Recognition from the office of US Congresswoman Debbie Lesko.
Since its founding in 2020, CASS's NREC has redefined community support in Glendale, Arizona. After much planning and research this flagship location is the materialization of a broader vision to regionalize support for those at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. With a small but driven team of CASS staff members, and in direct partnership with the City of Glendale, roughly 500 individuals each month receive the benefit of this unique model.

The Congressional Recognition awarded by US Congresswoman Debbie Lesko gives us not only confirmation that we're on the right path, but an invitation to take stock of the progress made over these last three years. It is with profound gratitude that we count no less than 15 flourishing collaborative partnerships working together through this keystone CASS location.

It is a pleasure to discover that this regionalized model has produced not only more individualized support for those we serve, but increased resource accessibility from our partnering organizations as well. So, in the mist of the celebrations, we can't help but take a moment to revel in the tremendous potential to be unlocked when we come together to improve our community and the lives of its most vulnerable members. There is no more inspiring example of this than your ongoing generosity. Thank you for your support and for making victories like this one possible! Looking forward, we are encouraged that more meaningful impact is within reach and we look forward to sharing more good news in the future.

All of this wouldn't be possible without the kindness of donors like you. Thank you for your continued support! With your help we hope to bring the NREC model to communities across the Valley, providing resource accessibility and support specialists wherever help is needed.
