School staff will take the time to chat with each student for a short kinder-ready assessment, which will help with placing students into classrooms.

2023-24 Bell Schedules

**New** 2023-24 Bell Schedule

Beginning this year, we will continue to have two arrival and dismissal times for students; however, families will follow arrival/dismissal times based on their student's last name (rather than grade level).

If you have various last names within your household and/or carpool group, please follow the schedule for the oldest child in your household and/or carpool group.

These changes will hopefully help eliminate the need for families to have to go through carline more than once do drop off/pick multiple students in different grade levels.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Student Breakfast & Lunch Program

As we all know our children need healthy meals to learn. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas (CASLV) offers healthy meals every school day. Your children may qualify for free meals or for reduced price meals. At this time there is a federal program supplying free meals to all students, however, we are not sure exactly how long this program will be available and we would like to keep the meals FREE for all students.

The FRL application is confidential and your information will not be shared, and it must be submitted every school year. The online application submission is highly recommended.

Please click on the "Lunch Program Letter to Families" link for more information.

More information can also be found on the CASLV website.

**NEW** i-Ready: Individualized Online Learning for K-5 Students

We are excited to announce that we will be transitioning from iXL to iReady this upcoming school year!

i-Ready is an online program for reading and mathematics that will help your student’s teacher(s) determine your student’s needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. i-Ready allows your teacher(s) to meet your student exactly where they are and provides data to increase your student’s learning gains. i-Ready consists of two parts: Diagnostic and Personalized online instruction whcih can be completed both at school and home.

Additionally, teachers will utilize i-Ready components to supplement our core reading program (Wonders) and our core math program (Reveal).

Donor's Choose: Activate & Elevate the STEM Learning Environment

Bringing an ACTIVpanel Promethean touchscreen board into our STEM classroom will completely transform the learning environment for my students! It will help give them access to interactive STEM lesson experiences. An ACTIVpanel Promethean touchscreen board will allow for an interactive presentation, engaging activities, and collaboration! It will eliminate the need for a teacher's desktop and allow screen sharing. It will help create an engaging learning environment, as well as elevate STEM lessons. Help us get rid of our projector and get updated to a touch screen experience. It would be like having a large tablet/computer on the wall. As technology and collaboration become more important in the workforce, this interactive board will be the perfect stepping stone to give my students a positive start!
