CASETA welcomes in the New Year with 3 new Board members, please meet the following:

Sue Canterbury is the Pauline Gill Sullivan Curator of American Art at the Dallas Museum of Art. Before joining the DMA, Canterbury served as Associate Curator in the Department of Paintings & Modern Sculpture at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, which was preceded by her first curatorial post as Assistant Curator at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She holds an MA and BA in Art History from Williams College and Wellesley College, respectively. Her DMA exhibitions include Alexandre Hogue: The Erosion Series (2014); Edward Steichen: In Exaltation of Flowers (2017); Cult of the Machine: Precisionism and American Art (2018); and, Ida O’Keeffe: Escaping Georgia’s Shadow (2018); In Focus: Henry Ossawa Tanner (2021); Pursuit of Beauty: The May Family Collection (2021); and, Point Line Plane: The William B. Jordan & Robert D. Brownlee Bequest of Works on Paper (2021).

Pamela Nelson Harte graduated from Texas A&M University and worked in Dallas at Baylor Research Foundation, then moved to France and graduated from L'Institute Catholique with a Masters in French literature and French history. After moving back to the US in 1987, Pam lived in New York City where she was managing Editor at Putnam Publishing and then Scholastic Publishing. Upon graduation from The Swedish Institute, she developed a Licensed Massage and Physical Therapy practice, specializing in craniosacral therapy and brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. She became interested in Texas art because her grandfather is EM Buck Schiwetz, who was designated as a Texas State Artist in 1978. Through his artistic and architectural lens he taught Pam to purposefully explore, observe and appreciate art and all living things.

Mark Kever and his wife Geralyn live in McKinney, Texas and have three adult children-Megan Portacci of Dallas, Matt Kever of Coral Gables Florida and Erin Nickolas of Houston.

Mark is a Managing Director at UBS Financial Services and has received numerous national awards from Barrons, Forbes, Financial Times and others.

A Texas Art collector since 2007, Mark’s passion stems from 1) the incredible beauty of the art itself 2) the social network of fellow dedicated collectors, dealers, and curators 3) the history involved with the art and 4) the thrill of the hunt!
