The room reservation procedure was updated. All room requests will need to be
processed via the
new
online SSW Reservation portal that is located on the School of Social Work website. You will find the SSW Reservation portal listed on the School of Social Work website under the "Current Student" tab or when you click "My SSW" in the Student Organization Resources section. Please note that the portal is for SSW affiliates only; you will need to login with your uniqname and password to access. Questions can be directed to Lauren Davis or Nyshourn Price.

This is a week of learning about, celebrating, and gathering tools to advocate for Detroit on campus with the intention of uplifting the city and growing as individuals through communal learning and conversation. Learn more about Detroit week.

Volunteer at Starfish Family Services
Volunteers are needed to join the Child Team to prepare for the
Dad Power Program, a 10-week attachment based program for fathers and their children. This is a great opportunity to learn about attachment and the development of infants and toddlers while gaining experience interacting with infants and fathers in this program.

The Vagina Monologues
Students for Choice
is proud to present our fourth annual production of
The Vagina Monologues,
a play based on Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness about violence against women and girls, to celebrate women's sexuality, and to talk about experiences that are not usually part of the dominant narrative. RSVP and find out more here.

Mobile Multimedia Workshops
The Shapiro Design Lab and MPortfolio staff are hosting weekly workshops for students to learn creative ways to create video, audio, photography, or text projects using cellphones. They will discuss a different medium each week and provide tools related to story planning, copyright, backup principles, and presentation.

#BBUM in the Making
U-M graduate and leader of the Black Student Union when the BBUM hashtag went viral, Tyrell Collier, will return to campus to talk about the experience, ongoing campus activism around race, and the role of social media in contemporary activism.

What Works in Early Education
Speakers will present research evidence focused on improving well-being and academic success for children, especially on vulnerable children. VP Student Life's Student Board
The Student Advisory Board provides advice on pressing student issues to the Vice President for Student Life. Biweekly meetings throughout the academic year encourage discussion on new initiatives and emergent issues.

CoreTech Apps for Humanity
Core Technology Foundation, Inc. (CoreTech) has built an open source platform called CORE to help nonprofits build applications that impact hundreds of millions of lives. They are seeking innovative and executable ideas that use CORE to help address a social or humanitarian issue. The winning idea will receive $20,000.

Scholarships and Funding Opportunities
Funding for Student Organizations
CASC students are involved in many activities around campus and we receive multiple requests for funding. CASC has a limited pool of money that CASC students are eligible to apply for. In order to apply for a CASC grant, you must be part of a registered student org and have an SOAS account. There are four funding deadlines throughout the year- October 1, December 1, January 15, and March 15.
To apply for funding, students must submit a funding proposal.

Islamic Studies Program Fellowships
Grants up to $3000 for summer domestic or international projects in the field of Islamic studies is available to undergraduate students at U-M. There is a competitive preference for students with an Islamic Studies Program minor and cannot be used toward a language study.

Jobs and Internships
Challenge Program Facilitator Position
The U-M Challenge Program is hiring facilitators who are dynamic and ready to learn. Facilitators are responsible for designing and delivering team building programs. No experience is necessary and both students and non-students are eligible to apply. Apply by March 14.
Campus Ambassadors
Campus Ambassadors are U-M students who work closely with PeaceCorps Recruiters to expand and reach into new and diverse student groups. Ambassadors receive training, a t-shirt, and share their enthusiasm for making a difference through life-changing cross-cultural experiences.

AFL-CIO Union Summer
Union Summer is a 9-week, paid educational experience that introduces young activists to the labor movement by allowing them to be on the front lines with working people as they join together to form unions in their workplaces. They are seeking student activists passionate about righting social and economic injustices, who have excellent communication skills and are willing to work long, irregular hours and weekends. Students from traditionally disadvantaged backgrounds and bilingual students are encouraged to apply. Application deadline is April 1.
Milan Seniors for Healthy Living
A
Program Coordinator is needed to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs and activities fitting with the Milan Seniors for Healthy Living (MSHL) mission and purpose. They will also assist in seeking resources to further support and grow MSHL programs and services. Email resumes and cover letters to

Green Corps
Green Corps has over 350 alumni working with groups like Greenpeace, Food & Water Watch, the Sierra Club, Chesapeake Climate Action Network, National Wildlife Federation, and Union of Concerned Scientists.
Many of these alumni are seeking spring and summer interns and are participating in the Green Corps Alumni Internship Network to find applicants. Sign up to receive biweekly opportunities from Green Corps and their alumni.
