CASC Mass Meeting

Know anyone who might be interested in the CASC minor? Send them to our upcoming mass meeting. This is a great opportunity for interested students to learn more about the minor and think about declaring. Pizza will be provided!

Activism in Detroit 

Interested in learning more about Detroit? Come join students from across the University as we engage with the city through dialogue with community members and activists, explore city businesses and organizations on a walking tour, eat delicious, locally catered food, and use the new Connector shuttle between Detroit and the University of Michigan. The day is sponsored by Semester in Detroit, Michigan Community Scholars Program, and CASC. 

When: Friday, February 7, 10 15 am - 4:45 pm 

Where: Meet at Michigan Union at 10:15 am and Return to Ann Arbor at 4:45 pm

CASC Community Dialogue 

Interested in learning more about dialogue? Want to explore your social identities? Join the CASC community for a student-sponsored dialogue on power, privilege, and social identity. Together we'll explore how our social identities impact the classroom and our work in the community. We'll also practice better communication skills for speaking across conflict. 

When: Sunday, February 16, 5 pm - 8 pm

The Body Monologues

The Body Monologues (inspired by the Vagina Monologues) provides a platform for members of the University of Michigan community to share their diverse experiences and stories focused on body image, embodiment, and acceptance in the face of societal and media messages that tell us our worth is tied to our ability to fit the impossible ideals of beauty, ability, race, gender, age, and more.

When: Tuesday, February 4 at 7 pm

A New Trotter: Mass Meeting

A New Trotter is a student-led initiative for a new, centrally located Trotter Multicultural Center. Join us and be a part of shaping the vision for a new Trotter!

Building a Better Michigan

Building a Better Michigan (BBM) is a movement and student group to ensure that students' voices are heard in the upcoming renovations of the Rec Sports Buildings and University Union Buildings, and is looking for more Core members to work alongside university officials. Blood Battle

The annual Michigan vs. Michigan State blood battle is currently under way! The blood drive is now through February 24. This year's goal is to donate 12,000 pints. Detroit Community Based Research Program

Michigan United is seeking community organizers to lead our community campaign to raise the minimum wage in Michigan. CapCorps Midwest

Cap Corps volunteers work full time with a non-profit in one of these areas: immigration, food justice, poverty, literacy, education, community development and more. Cap Corps volunteers live with other people interested in building intentional, social justice and faith-focused communities and are given room, board, health insurance, transportation, and a small stipend during their 12-30 month commitments. To learn more, click here. The National Institute on Drug Abuse Summer Research Program

Under this program, students underrepresented in the biomedical, social, clinical and behavioral sciences are paired with NIDA funded scientists at research institutions across the United States for 8-10 weeks during the summer to work in the field of substance abuse and addiction research.
