Twenty-eight new CASA volunteers were sworn in by Judge Frank Sullivan on Friday, February 18th. These new volunteers are now assigned to advocate for the best interest of sixty-one children in foster care. Also in attendance of the virtual swearing in were Chief Judge Linda Bell, Family Court Presiding Judge Rebecca Burton, Judge Stephanie Charter, Judge Denise Gentile, Judge Cynthia Giuliani, Judge Amy Mastin, Judge Vincent Ochoa, Judge Margaret Pickard, Judge Gloria Sturman, Judge Dawn Throne and Juvenile Hearing Master Adriana White. Other notable individuals in attendance were Court Executive Officer, Steve Grierson, Assistant Court Administrator, DeNeese Parker and Nevada State CASA Director, Jane Saint.
This was the largest graduatiing class of new volunteers in our Program's history. Our next class is scheduled to begin in March 2022 with close to 30 participants. Congratulations to our newest CASA volunteers!
