HCS3000 is Getting a Makeover

Since taking on the SafeGen program one year ago, we have gathered feedback from users and conducted a thorough review of HCS3000. For September, the course will be more user-friendly, more engaging, and up to date with current legislation.

Some key new features include:

  • Easier navigation
  • Interactive activities
  • Record of unit quiz grades
  • Optional end-of-course career exploration activity

The new version of the course is called HCS3000 08.24 (NEW!). The old version, called HCS3000 01.21 will remain available until October 1 for anyone currently in progress. After that point, the old version will be deleted, and only the new course will be available for completion.

Users new to SafeGen can register for teacher access here. For those already using SafeGen, please use your existing credentials to access your courses here.

Since this time last year, we have processed over 12,000 course completions—the largest number SafeGen has ever seen. Thank you for putting your trust in CAREERS to deliver HCS3000 and other workplace health and safety courses. We appreciate your continued support and feedback as we work to prepare Alberta youth for a safe start to their careers.
