Research Post-doctoral position available
A research post-doctoral position is available in the Benge TECHANS lab at the University of Texas at Austin. This position will assist with an R01 funded project on smartphone technology usage, prospective memory functioning, and Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions.  The post-doc will be involved in data collection in older adult patient populations, community outreach, data analysis, and data presentation, and will collaborate with clinical scientists at Baylor University and Baylor Scott & White Healthcare. This position involves a significant amount of patient-facing time for study participant recruitment and conduction of research visits. This position also involves administrative tasks, working with the PI, department, sponsors, and institution to support the compliance, financial, personnel and other related aspects of the clinical studies.
Requires a PhD or PsyD in psychology, rehabilitation, speech and language sciences, or related disciplines. PhD must be received within the last three years. Experience with human subjects research. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Data Architect position at UM working with NHATS



The National Health and Aging Trends Study, a collaboration between Johns Hopkins University and the University of Michigan is hiring a Data Architect to manage researcher access to NHATS restricted data. This position will be housed at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) will host the NIA Grantsmanship workshop on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in Cape Town, South Africa. This hybrid workshop will be held in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Association Regional Satellite Symposium (Wed, May 15th – Thurs, May 16th, 2024) and will provide an overview of the NIA, as well as an overview of the NIH grants process. We will be joined by colleagues from our partnering NIH institutes and centers, Fogarty International Center (FIC), National Institute for Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
