Do Something BIG! Build Upon the Capital Legacy
|
|
For 24 hours, beginning at noon on March 22, you will have a chance to do something BIG to make a difference in the lives of Capital University students!
The entire University community – main campus, Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Law School, and Capital Athletics – will participate in the first university-wide Day of Giving.
#BeRadiant with us!
From noon on Wednesday, March 22, to noon on Thursday, March 23, members of the Capital Family can make a gift to support the specific annual fund and/or Athletic booster fund that means the most to them personally.
When donors support the areas of greatest need and top priorities, they support the bigger picture of the Capital student experience. The student experience is leadership, education, friendship, and community. It's unique to everyone, and it cannot continue without the support of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends like you!
Your gift is an opportunity to spark radiance in students like Claire Caskey, a third-year marketing major.
“Because of Capital, I can be radiant as I joined Phi Sigma Sigma, where I met some of my lifelong best friends and built leadership skills that I will be able to use in my future career in marketing!”
A gift during the Day of Giving means all Capital students – undergraduate and graduate – can have an unmatched student experience. Join us beginning at noon on Wednesday, March 22, at www.capital.edu/be-radiant and see how the community's collective impact can make a difference in continuing to build the legacy of Capital for generations to come.
For more information, contact Elinor Fortescue, director of Annual Giving Programs, at efortescue@capital.edu or 614-236-6812.

Undesign the Redline is an interactive exhibit that explores the history of structural racism caused by the 1938 redlining maps and how this inequality continues to impact our communities today, focusing on the ways in which we can come together to “undesign” these systems with intentionality. The Undesign the Redline exhibit travels nationally. It has been localized for Columbus by a committee of local experts and historians, and it will be here for the next several months so that we can learn together, activate, and mobilize into a strong “we” capable of transformation.
TRUTH BE TOLD
March 15 to May 31

- Fourteen artists put their conversations about systemic racism front and center in this installation called “Truth Be Told.” The exhibit, which will be displayed in Gloria Dei Worship Center, is inspired by what these artists call The Gathering, a group of black and white women artists from across the country who regularly meet over Zoom to discuss racial injustice.
