Earlier today, the following message was put out by the Town of Huntsville Manager of Planning,
"
Please be advised that consideration of item 7.1 on
Planning Committee’s agenda of November 20
, regarding zoning by-law amendment applications Z/11/12/2018/HTE (waterfront landings for Langmaid Island) has been cancelled. An appeal to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal has been lodged. The matter will be removed from tomorrow’s Planning Committee agenda, and there will be no discussion or recommendations by Committee related to these applications
".
As we informed you last week, a similar appeal was launched by Langmaid's Island Corp against the Township of Lake of Bays.
In both cases, the Town and Township Staff Planning reports recommended denying the applications.
Given that there will be no discussion at either meeting pertaining to the Langmaid’s Island applications,
we do not feel that a strong public attendance is required
. Representatives from the Lake of Bays Association and the Lake of Bays Heritage Foundation will attend the meetings and report if there are any unanticipated outcomes.
