1. Get a jumpstart on learning Canvas

Don't wait until Canvas workshops are offered. Get a jumpstart by using the Canvas training playlists curated by the CAFE team! You can access these through the CPP Canvas site support page.

2. Improve your Canvas course student experience

When putting content into your course site, keep in mind that uploaded files (like Word, PDF, or Powerpoint) can be problematic for students, especially when they're using mobile devices or screen readers.

Think of it like your online banking experience. You don't want to have to download a document file to see your latest transactions every time you visit the site.

Improve the student experience by converting a document into a Canvas page instead. Here is a 5 minute video that will show you to do just that: Converting a Document into a Canvas Page (5m).

As a reminder, CPP Staff and Faculty (with limited exceptions) are Responsible Employees and therefore must share with the Office of Equity & Compliance any information disclosed to them by a student or coworker involving an incident of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking. Please email officeofequity@cpp.edu if you have questions about your reporting obligation and visit Equity and Compliance faculty resources.
