As a substance use counselor, your work is mission-critical to those who rely on you for reflection, encouragement, and resources. Sometimes the work can be overwhelming. That's why self-care is so important! Remember to take some time for you this month to do what inspires and rejuvenates you!

The Website Has a New Look!
CADTP provides full counselor certification services for California SUD counselors. Its SUD Counselor website is a robust resource for all stages of certification.

CADTP is also a representative association for DUI Programs in the state of California, and this month, the website has a whole new look!

CADTP provides services that include a robust program lookup, state and federal advocacy, conferences, and other resources for its members.

The ASAM National Practice Guideline for the Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder - 2020- Focused Update
The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) released a focused update to the National Practice Guideline for the Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder in 2020. The updated guideline is intended to inform and empower clinicians, health system administrators, criminal justice system administrators, and policymakers who are interested in implementing evidence-based practices to improve outcomes for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD).
