CADDRA is a Canadian non-profit member association for medical and health care professionals, along with researchers, who assess, treat and/or study ADHD.

Conference Keynote Speaker

Alexandra Philipsen, MD is Director and W3 Professor of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Bonn. She has also served as the Executive Senior Physician at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Freiburg. Her expertise in ADHD has led to research on its etiology, symptomatology, and therapy in adults. Dr. Philipsen has also supervised cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. Her scientific focus is translational therapy research on attention and emotion regulation, development, and evaluation of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for ADHD in adults including digital tools. Her clinical focus is diagnosis and treatment of the entire spectrum of mental disorders, especially affective disorders such as depression, stress-associated disorders, ADHD in adulthood and personality disorders, crisis intervention and suicidality. Dr. Philipsen is the scientific advisor of ADHS-Deutschland, a member of the steering board of the German ADHD Network, a member of the Advisory Board on Psychotherapy, Germany. She is President-elect, Chair of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Germany, ECNP network ADHD.

KBHN/CADDRA Trainee Researcher Awards

We are excited to announce that Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN), for the seventh consecutive year, is generously providing $5,000 towards awards for ten selected oral and poster presentations by student/trainee presenters based on merit.


All trainee researchers who are accepted as an oral or poster presenter at ADHD Research Day are eligible for the awards.

CADDRA ADHD and Substance Use Program

In addition to evidence-based content and clinical insights, the CADDRA ADHD and Substance Use Program (CASUP) will also include resources to support learners in applying the content in practice. This month, we are providing an excerpt from the CASUP Workplace Accommodations checklist for individuals with ADHD and/or SUDs.
