Pre-School PSB Services Available Soon

Mental Health Clinicians Marcela Familiar-Bolaños (left) and Alex Spurlock (right) along with Director of Mental Health & Advocacy Catalina Gutierrez-Perez (center) received scholarships to attend the University of Oklahoma's specialized training to provide Problematic Sexual Behavior-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT) to pre-school-aged children.

This means soon, the CAC will begin accepting referrals for children ages 3-6 who are exhibiting problematic sexual behaviors, making us the only CAC in Massachusetts providing PSB-CBT for pre-school children as an in-house service.

Community Connections

On September 23, the Boston Teachers Union held its 10th Annual Back to School Fair. At the event 40,000 books and activities were given to Boston Public School families while they enjoyed food and music.

The CAC was one of several organizations present to provide families with information and resources.

Recent Highlight

Last month, Training Program Manager, Erica Chepulis, and Support to End Exploitation Now (SEEN) Case Coordinator, Sophie Jordan, delivered an Exploitation in the Virtual Word training for the 9 Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (Pedi-SANE) from CACs across the Commonwealth. The Pedi-SANEs left the training with a better understanding of what the children they examine experience when they are exploited online.

Staff Spotlight

The Step Up & Speak Out Benefit was a wonderful opportunity to not only celebrate former CAC Executive Director Susan Goldfarb, but also the CAC's compassionate and dedicated staff. Staff enjoyed greeting supporters and seeing the overwhelming generosity honoring their incredible work.
