Give the Gift of Healing

One week from today, the world will be celebrating GivingTuesday―a globally recognized day that encourages the generous support of organizations doing important work to make the world a better place.

The CAC ensures the safety and healing of children who have experienced abuse and exploitation. We can't do that without your support.

This video describes the critically important work we do and the hope and healing we offer to the children and families we serve.

We hope you'll consider making a donation and sharing this video with your network to encourage them to join you in supporting the CAC!

Community Connections

The CAC's Family Resource Specialist, Gladys Sorto-Aviles, compiled a comprehensive list of opportunities for families to get the support they need this holiday season.

This list (available in English and Spanish) includes assistance with food, clothing, and gifts provided by numerous local organizations and agencies. Please share this helpful resource widely!

Recent Highlight

Earlier this month, Associate Director Beth Bouchard and Support to End Exploitation Now (SEEN) Program Manager Sheelah Gobar facilitated a workshop on "High-Risk Missing & Exploited Youth: A Multidisciplinary Team Approach" at Shared Hope International's annual JuST (Juvenile Sex Trafficking) Conference in Washington, DC.

During the workshop, attended by over 100 providers, the pair shared practical guidance and strategies for recovering and engaging missing and exploited youth, increasing the ability of providers to recognize and respond to the commercial sexual exploitation of children.

Staff Spotlight

The CAC's internships provide hands-on experiences for talented and passionate students. This semester we have three incredible Co-Ops supporting our team. Lauren Sterling (left) is a Master of Social Work student at Simmons University School of Social Work serving as a clinical intern with the mental health team, Alyssa Santiago (center) is a Northeastern University Co-op student serving as the program assistant for the Multidisciplinary Investigation Team, and Mara Steed (right) is a Northeastern University Co-op student serving as the program assistant for the Support to End Exploitation Now program.

Upcoming Event

Our friends at Children's Services of Roxbury (CSR) are partnering with the Boston Lesbigay Urban Foundation to host monthly support groups for youth who identify as LGBTQ+. The groups are held on the second Thursday of every month and are held at CSR's Young Adult Access Center in Roxbury.
