Support Team Suffolk CAC

It takes a special and passionate person to commit to running 26.2 miles and raising $7,000. And we are so fortunate to have five special people as part of Team Suffolk CAC.

With the Boston Marathon less than a month away, Cait, Carey, Kaitlynn, Kate, and Talia are all hard at work training and coordinating fundraising events and activities to support the CAC's no cost services for children who have experienced sexual abuse and exploitation.

There are several ways you can help them cross the fundraising finish line:

Upcoming Events

On March 28 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. the CAC and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office are hosting a Stop Block Talk online safety workshop at the Roslindale Community Center. This free, in-person workshop is hosted in partnership with the Mozart Elementary School and open to families of Boston, Chelsea, Revere, & Winthrop. Adults and students are welcome to attend. Advance registration is required.

Recent Highlight

Earlier this month, we held a friendly Ping Pong Tournament with our co-located partners from the Boston Police Department and the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office. The competition was fierce, and the camaraderie was palpable!

Our top 3 finishers (pictured) were:

  1. CAC Chief of Development & External Affairs, Kim Sebastiao (Right)
  2. Assistant District Attorney and SCDOA’s Chief of the Special Victims Bureau, Ian Polumbaum (Left)
  3. Family Justice Center BPD Captain Terry Thomas (Center)

Donated to the CAC by a generous supporter, the ping pong table has allowed for some lunch-break decompression and provided this wonderful opportunity for us to bond with our partners in this difficult and important work. We look forward to more fun-filled events and exciting collaborations in the future!

Community Connections

On February 21, members of our team bundled up and braved the cold to connect and share resources with hundreds of community members at the 2024 Children's Winter Fest, hosted by the City of Boston and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.

We love being out in the community and sharing information about our services for the children and families of Suffolk County!
