As some may know, Comp-X is a founding member of Kids' Chance of New Jersey (KCNJ). Three members of our management team are on the Board of Directors: Lenny August, Lori Citron and Ashley Palkewick. We are writing to ask for your help to reach our goal of selling 2,500 raffle tickets!
For those who are not familiar, Kids' Chance is dedicated to providing college scholarships for students whose parents have been seriously injured or killed in a workers’ compensation accident. Until 2020, KCNJ had been able to provide "up to $10,000" for each student awarded a scholarship. Last year KCNJ supported 26 students. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, our annual bowling event and our annual Gala had to be cancelled. While we were able to award scholarships, for the first time since inception we were not able to commit to the typical "up to $10,000" award.
Unfortunately, the pandemic is still having a serious effect on fundraising this year, with the cancellation of our annual events and the postponement of our Gala until September 9, 2020. The KCNJ Board of Directors is determined to come up with alternative ways to raise scholarship funds for our students and their families. We need your help to make this work. Each raffle ticket costs $10. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go towards scholarships. The drawing will be held at 12pm on 7/23/2021.
First prize is a $1,500 Amazon Gift Card
Second prize is a Vizio 43 inch TV and Home Theater valued at $500
Third prize is a Shark Robot Vacuum valued at $475
Fourth prize is a Ring Door Bell valued at $200
