Michelin adds Santa Ana restaurant to its California guide

We're so proud to see Santa Ana's own Lola Gaspar added to the MICHELIN Guide of top restaurants in the world! This is Santa Ana's third MICHELIN star restaurant!

The MICHELIN Guide, known for awarding stars to top restaurants worldwide, announced five new additions to its recommendations yesterday, including Lola Gaspar. This modern Mexico City-inspired gastrobar is led by chef Luis Perez and has been serving the Santa Ana community and visitors for the past 15 years.

The guide says: "This gastropub in downtown Santa Ana isn't new but a post-pandemic reset and a trip to Mexico changed Chef Luis Perez's mindset—and menu. It's all about quality over quantity here, so expect a tightly edited menu featuring tacos, quekas, and churros, but it's all very good. Happy hour discounts make sampling it all a tempting proposition."

Congratulations to Lola Gaspar!

Business Owner Spotlight

Kate and Vincent Tiuseco

Founders & Owners

"Our story begins with one main ingredient: LOVE"

BAD Bakers

BAD stands for bread and donuts, but love is their main ingredient. Their story began after visiting the Philippines and eating Ensaymadas, a sweet dough-like pastry that is covered with butter and topped with sugar, at a Filipino Bakery. This sparked their interest and they decided to take their inspiration to the next level by attending culinary school, baking conventions in Australia and Japan, and more.

Fast forward to 10 years later, this husband and wife team are the founders and owners of 6 donut shops in California. They opened their first Southern California location in Santa Ana in 2023. Stop by today for a tasty treat!
