HILLCREST VILLAGE - Now taking applications! |
As our business community knows, adequate housing is a challenge for our future prosperity. The Hillcrest project is one of the recent examples to tackle the housing needs in our area.

The Manistee Area Chamber continues to work on the Gateway Project as one of our top economic development priorities. This brownfield loan and grant will move the project forward with demolition and remediation in late 2021 and 2022 and prepare the site for new construction.

Canfield Bed & Breakfast - Originally from Northern Indiana, we’ve vacationed in Onekama during the summers since 1985 and fell in love with the area. It was always a dream to own the Canfield House and be part of the Onekama community. Recently the opportunity community presented itself and we, along with a close family friend, decided to purchase the Canfield House and re-open it as a bed and breakfast. L & K Maintenance, LLC - L&K Maintenance was established in 2017 by owners Kerri Mackey and Leonard Dunlap. We can do most all home maintenance. We also do lawn care, irrigation systems, moving services, snow plowing and removal, real estate sales well/septic inspections as well as home/commercial real estate inspections. Although this particular business is fairly new, Len isn't new to this type of work. He started out helping his dad when he was 14 and continued as a side job on his own starting in 1987. Kerri, along with being a full-time Real Estate Agent with Lighthouse Realty, works mostly behind the scenes dealing with employees and bookwork. We've been told we make a great team!
