May Employee Appreciation Recipient

Kaytie Hackett, Planning & Construction

Kaytie Hackett was nominated for her exceptional contributions to Planning & Construction (P&C).

Her development of financial analysis and recommendations for departmental planning and rate setting have been crucial to P&C's sustainability.

Additionally, Kaytie’s improvements to project intake and completion processes have significantly enhanced stakeholder communication and service.

She consistently creates an environment where team members feel valued and heard, fostering a collaborative and productive workplace.

Congratulations, Kaytie, and thank you for your strategic thinking and leadership. We are proud to have you on the Business Affairs team.

June Employee Appreciation Recipient

Craig Topple, Administration Technology Services

Craig Topple was nominated for assisting the Real Estate department with its records management project. Craig’s proactive efforts in creating a workflow process have significantly streamlined and improved the document submission process.

By thoroughly explaining the workflow, maintaining constant communication, and always being available for questions, Craig ensured a successful final product.

His dedication not only enhanced record-keeping but also alleviated the workload for analysts on the Financial Planning, Budget & Analysis team.

Congratulations, Craig! Thank you for building trust and making Business Affairs a better place to work

In October 2023, we distributed our annual Business Affairs customer service survey. Many of our campus colleagues replied to the survey with notes of praise for our hard-working teams. See below for some highlights for Delivery Services.

“The moving guys were right on time and finished the work promptly. Delivery Services is top notch about delivering our packages, and the property control folks are very helpful regarding the equipment inventories.”

“I always receive great customer service when I have questions or need assistance.”

“These groups are integral to my job and they are fantastic.”

Grant-In-Aid Fall Application Deadline

Grant-In-Aid (GIA) fall applications are due August 9. This deadline ensures account adjustments are reflected before tuition payments are due.

Maryland Parkway Construction Updates Sign-Up

The Regional Transit Commission (RTC) will begin work on the multiphase Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project this fall. The project will enhance transportation infrastructure along a 12.5-mile stretch that includes Maryland Parkway from Russell Rd. to Carson Ave

Community members can sign-up to receive BRT project updates via email or text message. This is the best way to stay in-the-know about construction timelines and impacts to your commute.

Visit the Maryland Parkway BRT webpage for more information about the major improvements that will enhance mobility, safety, and access along one of our city’s busiest transit routes.
