PTC company makes impact on head injuries
As the Super Bowl approaches, there is one piece of information that local residents and business owners may find interesting. A Peachtree Corners company designed and is currently manufacturing helmet covers now mandated by the NFL.
Guardian Innovations manufacturers the Guardian Cap, worn in practice at the youth, high school, college and NFL levels. The company was formed in 2011 by Erin and Lee Hanson, along with other family members and dedicated employees. It was created as a sister company to their material science company, The Hanson Group.
Their flagship product is the Guardian Cap, which disperses some of the energy generated during impacts. Click on the image above to hear more.

Mölnlycke unveils innovation at medical convention
Mölnlycke, one of Peachtree Corners' largest companies, unveiled a new post-surgical wound device in November 2023 at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons convention in Dallas, Texas.
Mölnlycke Healthcare US introduced Avance® Solo, a single-use, closed incision negative pressure therapy dressing and device for post-surgical care.
Avance Solo features a 125mmHg pump and an advanced surgical multi-layer dressing with Safetac® technology. Safetac is Mölnlycke’s proprietary silicone wound contact layer that gently conforms to skin without adhering to wounds.

City Marshals on the street
As the year begins, we are happy to announce that our City Marshal program is now in full swing.
As many may know, the City implemented our Marshal Program in July of 2023, and officially swore in our three City Marshals in November: Chief Eddie Restrepo, Deputy Chief Johnnie Bing, and Captain Henry Mesa.
The City Marshal Program was established in Peachtree Corners to enhance the city's non-emergency capabilities and to support and complement the GCPD's role as the primary law enforcement agency for Peachtree Corners.

Grant funds available to small businesses, restaurants, hotels
The Gwinnett Tourism, Arts, and Entertainment Grant Fund will provide limited funding to assist Gwinnett County-based organizations. Eligible organizations include:
- 501(c)(3) arts and cultural organizations
- Small business, for-profit tourism/arts/entertainment organizations (i.e., hotels, restaurants, breweries, inbound tour operators, receptive operators, film/TV production studios, for-profit arts organizations)
These funds are American Rescue Plan (ARP) federal grant funds received by Gwinnett County and are part of the final distribution of COVID-19 recovery funds. These funds will be administered, determined, and disbursed by Explore Gwinnett Tourism + Film. This is a reimbursement grant program.
