It is a widely observed Jewish tradition to commemorate the passing of a relative or other loved one on the walls within a temple. All temples devote an area within or near the sanctuary to memorialize those who have departed. Our memorial plaques are located on our sanctuary walls. Nameplates or plaques can be inscribed with the English or Hebrew names of the departed, along with birth and death dates using either the standard or the Hebrew calendar. Beside each plaque is a memorial light, which is lit annually on your loved one's Yahrzeit and for all Yizkor services.
