School Director Recognition Month | |
|
In honor of the school board's commitment to our students, schools, and communities, January is once again designated School Director Recognition Month.
School directors, who are unpaid, devote countless hours to the challenging and complex responsibilities of board business, including adopting policy, voting on budgets, evaluating school security issues, and reviewing hiring decisions.
Mr. Ed Case, Mr. Brad Hart, Ms. Lupe Kasper, Dr. Amy Kennedy, Ms. Steph Kocher, Mr. Bernard McCree, Mr. Sean McCrae, Ms. Jennifer Denny, and Mr. Bob Schneider are among the more than 850 school board members in the state’s 171 local school districts being recognized this month for their service.
We thank these locally elected officials for their service to our community!

New Traffic Patterns: Expect new traffic flow around the construction site. All access to the High School’s main parking lot and the Bulldog Field lot will be from Dwight Street only.
Temporary Entrances: A temporary entrance to the gym and auditorium will be in place during construction. Please see the diagram below for details.
Reduced Parking: The main parking lot will have limited spaces due to construction activities. Additional parking is available in the Bulldog lot. Handicap parking is available in front of the Lower House, closest to the Natatorium entrance.

This week’s Wilson Widespread was a club spotlight featuring the Seeds to Grow Club, founded by club president Madison McCrae. Madison founded this gardening club her sophomore year at Wilson as a way to continue her passion for helping the environment, and take a step towards reaching a greater environmental solution. Seeds to Grow has held many fundraisers so far this year and will use the proceeds to start planting in the Spring. Madison’s goal is to grow plants native to Pennsylvania, known to thrive in and help our regional environment.
