On February 14th, over 1,000 HBA and CAM members and guests attended the Great Lakes Design & Construction EXPO at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. The morning began with an Economic Forecast Breakfast attended by nearly 200. Keynote speaker Dr. Daniil Manaenkov of University of Michigan's Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics (RSQE) shared valuable insights into the national and regional economic trends and what we can expect.

NEW CONSUMERS GAS LINE RATES FOR CONSTRUCTION

A number of members have run into significant new cost increases in getting natural gas lines extended to their build sites. In working to lower those costs and to address what appeared to be exorbitant charges in several cases across the state, we asked Consumers Energy to provide us clarity on their pricing. They have done so…

Within the attached letter you will see the Free Footage allowance decreased slightly for the coming year, in addition a decrease in the excess service charge per ft outlined below:
 

• Residential has decreased 35%
• Non-Residential has decreased 37%
• Joint has decreased 34%

Tom has worked in agencies big and small as an award-winning art director, illustrator, photographer and graphic designer. He’s also produced and directed television commercials, sales films and videos.

At The Sussman Agency, Tom oversaw creative on D.O.C, Art Van, Fieger Law, Weight Watchers, English Gardens, and many other iconic Detroit-area retail accounts.

In the late 90s at McCann Erickson/Detroit, he was the only American on the relaunch of the Opel in Europe. He was also one half of the only American team on the advertising and creative strategy for the launch of the Chevy Silverado in the South American market.

He left the agency world in 2016 and started Maniaci Marketing.
