Financial Aid Information

Senior Scholarship Information

Students should regularly check this link for scholarships that are specific to BHS graduating seniors only. Seniors, if you have not completed the BHS Scholarship Application, please do so ASAP.

Additional Scholarship Information

Seniors need to make sure their social security number is updated with the school and the school has a copy of their social security card if they are going to apply for HOPE. Students can check their HOPE GPA on GAFutures.org. If you have questions about college or scholarships, please email carmen.borja@bufordcityschools.org.

HOPE Scholarship

HOPE GPA is different from your BHS cumulative GPA. HOPE Scholarship rewards students who have a cumulative 3.0 HOPE GPA in their CORE subjects. These students receive financial assistance at eligible Georgia public and private colleges. The award at public institutions covers a percentage of the tuition. Students should check with their colleges of choice to determine what applications they must fill out to receive the scholarship. Many colleges require the FAFSA form to be completed, others require the GSFAPPS application. Go to www.gafutures.org to fill out the GSFAPPS.

Graduating Seniors still unsure of postsecondary plans

should visit Mrs. Borja or their counselor.
