Work On 2024 Budget Continues

The Township held its second budget presentation of the year on November 21.

The budget talks focused on the fire tax, fire capital, and fire hydrant funds along with other smaller funds.

The first budget presentation, which was held on November 8, focused on the general and capital reserve funds along with the sewer and sewer capital funds.

The proposed 2024 budget holds taxes steady but raises the possibility of a $5 per month increase to sewer rates.

From The EAC: Recycle Holiday String Lights

The EAC wants to give residents the first gift of this holiday season by offering a place to drop off broken and non-working holiday string lights.

The EAC will be collecting the holiday lights from December 1 to January 30 and transporting them to centers that will recycle the materials. Help us help Whitpain be more sustainable by dropping off your old light strings, thus keeping them out of our landfills.

The drop off box will be located in the Police Department Lobby at the Township Building on Wentz Road. The collection period is December 1 - January 30.
