We have more updates for the first annual Buckeye Lake Pirate Festival which is about 3 weeks away on Saturday May 18, 2024. The festival is for the public, Pirates, Steampunk and Mermaids , fans and friends!

Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest TREASURE HUNT

Collect a FREE Treasure Map and plan your trip around the lake searching for Treasure! The Treasure Maps will identify up to 40 locations that will have a drawing for a Treasure Chest with $150+ value – customized by each business. 

The Treasure Maps are two sided with Treasure by Land and Sea. Participants can use the Map to plan their adventure, searching where an X marks the location of a Treasure Chest. 

How the TREASURE HUNT Works

On May 18, 2024 during the Treasure Hunt contest hours for each business: when you find a Treasure Chest: you will use your cell phone to click on the QR code, then enter your contact information and hit Submit to register to win that Treasure Chest.  Only one entry per person at each Treasure Chest location. You must be 18+ to enter. Additional rules apply.  

Many businesses around Buckeye Lake will be decorated in Pirate décor with their staff in pirate attire. Most are offering Pirate themed food/drink and retail specials at their venues during the Buckeye Lake Pirate Festival.

Join us for Special Tours! There are several Special Tours where you may search for Treasure with friends and groups. Each Tour has a meet up location where you get a Treasure Map, a hosted tour guide flyer with locations where businesses are hosting special tour participants. Some tour sponsors are offering free Pirate Fest flags (while supplies last).

Shop & Dine with a Mermaid Tour

Calling all Mermaids and Mermen! Join a Mermaid Tribe and enjoy Shopping & Dining on a special tour planned at stops around Buckeye Lake during the Pirate Festival. 

Pick up a free Mermaid Treasure Hunt Flier and Treasure Map at the Mermaid Table between 11 am – 1 pm on May 18, 2024 at Port Royal (aka Harbor Community Center) during the Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest. 

There will be 8+ locations with Treasure Chests that are hosting Mermaids and Mermen. The Mermaid Tour, sponsored by Brittany Perrine / Remax Revealty, concludes with Dinner with a Mermaid at the Blue Heron Kitchen & Pub.  

Steampunk Whistle Stop Tour

Calling all Steampunks and Fans! Join fellow Steampunks on a special Whistle Stop Tour with planned stops around Buckeye Lake during the Buckeye Lake Pirate Festival. 

Pick up a free Steampunk Whistle Stop Tour Flier and Treasure Map at the Steampunk Greeting Table between 11 am – 1 pm on May 18, 2024 at Port Royal (aka Harbor Community Center) during the Buckeye Lake Pirate Fest. There will be 10+ locations with Treasure Chests that are hosting Steampunks with special items of interest and surprises. The Steampunk Whistle Stop Tour, sponsored by Park National Bank at 103 E Main Street in Hebron, Ohio.

Advance registration is free and optional. For people that do register: the first 300 people registered will receive a free bandana that may be picked up the day of show (you will be notified that you are eligible the week of the show to pick one up).  Limit one bandana per registration via email provided; must be 18 years or older.
