The staff at VIM would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving ! We are thankful for all the support provided at the clinic from our dedicated volunteers, partners and donors .

Giving Tuesday
Be a Hometown Hero
This year, Giving Tuesday is November 27th . This global initiative is held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and kicks off the holiday charitable season .

VIM is not federally funded and does not charge for services . The clinic operates solely on donations from businesses and individuals, grants from foundations and proceeds from special events. Any contribution helps the clinic continue to provide free medical, dental and behavioral health services to our low-income neighbors in need.

If you would like to donate to VIM this Giving Tuesday , you can do so directly on our website or sending a check to
VIM at 190 North Pennsylvania Avenue Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
We appreciate your support!

Patient Centered Medical Home Update
During this week's call with the Americares team, the clinic's staff reviewed the key components of the Enhanced Access Assessment that was completed for the third next available appointment. The assessment is important as it will improve outcomes, improve the overall patient experience and reduce costs of care for the clinic.

The next assignment is to complete a Cycle Time Exercise . This exercise will examine the amount of time each patient spends during various parts of their appointment - from check-in to check-out.
