Brownfields 2023 Poster Gallery

The Brownfields 2023 Call for Posters is open. The Poster Gallery offers a venue to visually depict innovative practices, share brownfields success stories, and present research findings. Posters will be displayed in the Exhibit Hall for the duration of the conference, and will feature an award for the Best Overall Poster and a People’s Pick Award voted by conference attendees.

The deadline to submit a poster idea is Friday, June 2, 2023, 11:59PM. 

Environmental Justice Caucus

Sign up now for the 2023 Environmental Justice Caucus! The EJ Caucus is a locally driven event where people and organizations involved in Environmental Justice convene, share ideas, build relationships, and communicate directly with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Perfect Pitch Competition

Have a challenging brownfields project? This is the perfect opportunity for you to elevate the profile of your project, prepare to pitch publicly, and win over $20K in pro-bono contractor support on a customized scope of work. Three experts and those in attendance will provide feedback and crowd-sourced comments that can spark new avenues to explore and help overcome challenges. Come to the National Brownfields Conference and strike the right chord for your community at the Perfect Pitch Competition.

Economic Recovery Corps Host Community Application Open

Are you looking for technical expertise to focus on your community’s brownfields or other redevelopment challenges? If so, consider applying to host one of 65 fellows that will soon be deployed to communities around the United States.

ICMA is a partner in a new program to help communities with innovations in economic development. Earlier this year, the International Economic Development Association (IEDC) was awarded a cooperative agreement to place skilled economic development professionals in distressed communities and regions through the Economic Recovery Corps (ERC) fellowship program. Through this program at least 65 fellows will be placed in economic development organizations across the country. Fellows will serve two-and-a-half years at their host entity.
