A Message from Principal Dumar

Bradfield Families,

You may have noticed more new faces around Bradfield this week. Tripp and Gramercy McCauley took charge as the new Bradfield Principals and kept everyone on their toes! These two Broncos put in a full day’s work to ensure our building was safe and students were learning. From greeting students and parents, to meeting with HP Superintendent Dr. Rockwood, doing lunch duty, preparing for the Family Picnic, and staying on top of the maintenance crew, they got it all done. It looks like we have more candidates for the new Principal of Bradfield. Awesome job, Tripp and Gramercy!

We also had a fabulous team of counselor’s of the day who made sure students felt safe and supported! Sita and Nelson Francis taught guidance lessons, provided Superintendent Dr. Rockwood feedback, read books about kindness, built relationships with students during lunch duty and much more. I overheard Sita expressing her empathy for teachers because it is not always easy to keep student’s attention. Great job, team!

On April 8, the total solar eclipse crossed the DFW area creating a path of totality. Students, teachers and families gathered on the field as they experienced the eclipse. Thank you to our teachers, who had prepping our students in order to understand and predict the many facets of a solar eclipse. It was definitely a memorable event as darkness fell upon us during the middle of the day. Also, thank you to PTA volunteers, Corrie Rae and Jourdy Wallace for organizing behind-the-scenes.

I encourage you to check out this week’s Broncoland photos.

A Message from our PTA President, Laura McCallan

We had another busy (and rainy) week at Bradfield! I’d like to again thank Corrie Rae for her assistance to the staff in planning a super fun Eclipse celebration. I know my kids and I will forever remember the excitement of that day here at Bradfield!

I’d also like to thank a few ladies who have been helping with a lot of our Auction “after party” logistics behind the scenes: Thank you to Kathryn Hines & Katie Tauscher (3rd Grade Sleepover), Erin Hodges & Anna Jackson (4th Grade Sleepover), Holland Brown & Dawn Ferrer (Teacher of The Day), and Jess Rugg & Nicole Somerville (Teacher Gift of Time). Thank you ladies for all your hard work and planning!

I’d also like to thank Kamela Aboussie, who planned the perfect breakfast & coffee treat pick me up for our 3rd and 4th Grade staff on Wednesday before STAAR testing day. Thank you Kam for always knowing exactly how to support our staff!

Go Broncos!
