September 2022 ISSUE: Bronco Family Newsletter

Greetings Bronco families!

It is officially fall, which means the leaves are starting to change their color, and the weather will hopefully starting to cool soon. This also means it's time to invite everyone to a couple of fun events and share some important dates and deadlines we have coming up. So, please keep reading to learn more about our second We Are First session, the Fall Family Harvest at the Pumpkin Patch, a welcome from President Coley, and a whole lot more!

We Are First Session #2: Life In The Passenger Seat

RSVP NOW OPEN!

Come join us for session #2 in this inaugural series of workshops designed specifically for parents, family members, and supporters of Cal Poly Pomona students who are the first in their family to attend college. All of these workshops are FREE, offered in-person and virtually, and include Spanish language translation services.

The September workshop will occur on Tuesday, September 27th from 6pm - 8pm on campus and on zoom!

Session Description: We all know that family support is critical to our student’s success. We also know that college is your student’s first foray into adulthood, which means they will be looking to take charge of their lives in the classroom and beyond. This session will be hosted by our Dean of Students office and will help prepare families to make that important transition from the “driver seat” to the “passenger seat” while still providing love, support, and guidance without “taking the wheel.”
