· NJROTC has been recognized as the #1 NJROTC Unit in the State of Texas!
· Spring Expo – Had over 200 parents and students in attendance receiving tips
and strategies to be successful on EOC exams, College and Career
Information, and much more!
· Academic Decathlon team members place 3rd and 5th in the Region!
· Engineering students selected as delegates at the Congress of Future Science
and Technology Leaders in Boston!
· Sophomore student wins 2nd place in Senior Division Regional Science Fair
competition!
· TSA students advance to National Competition!
· FFA students place 1st and 3rd in Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Rabbit
competition!
· FBLA students advance to State Competition!
· Bush HS student advances to State in the UIL Young Filmmakers Festival for
the 1st time in GBHS History!
· Orchestra students receive SUPERIOR ratings in UIL Solo/Ensemble Contest!
· Orchestra students advance to State Competition!
· Band students receive Division 1 SUPERIOR ratings in UIL Solo/Ensemble
Contest!
· Choir Students received 31 1st Division medals in UIL Solo/Ensemble
Contest! 14 choir students have advanced to State competition!
· Illusions receive the coveted Winners Circle Award at dance competition!
· Dance 1 team receives Division 1 ratings at dance competition!
· GBHS Student places 3rd in Japanese Speech contest!
· 150 Art students compete in V.A.S.E. competition and 125 of them receive
highest scores!
· 10 Art students V.A.S.E. pieces advance to State! The most in GBHS History!
· Swim student places 9th in State Competition!
· Varsity Girls Basketball Player receives 20-6A Offensive Player of the Year
Award!
· Freshman Boys Blue basketball team wins District for the 3rd consecutive
year!
· Varsity Boys Basketball team –Back to Back District 20-6A Champions!
· Varsity Boys Basketball player selected as Back to Back District 20-6A Most
Valuable Player of the Year!
· Coach Ronnie Courtney – District 20-6A Coach of the Year for 6 consecutive
