Bring on 2021!

We hope you had a wonderful New Year!

Thanks to your generous support over the last year, we were able to raise $154,599.90 to support our programs. We are so thankful to our global community for your unwavering commitment to investing in Cambodian youth.

We hope you enjoy reading our final newsletter of 2020. We are excited for what 2021 will bring, and grateful to have you along on this journey with us!
Updates from the JWOC Team

The team said goodbye to our Executive Director, Kneath Heard, as he leaves JWOC for his next journey. Kneath has been an incredible leader, mentor and friend over the last 5 years. He will be greatly missed, but we know that his legacy will continue to inspire our students, staff and supporters for many years to come.

We also said farewell to our Communications Officer, Borey, who celebrated his graduation from University and our Scholarship Program this week. We know that he has a bright future ahead, and thank him for his time at JWOC over the last 3 years.
This month we also welcomed two new members to the team, including Somnang (Donor Relations Officer) and Oukdom (Better Futures Program Officer), who join us with a wealth of experience. We hope you will join us in giving them both a warm welcome to the JWOC team!

For an update on JWOC’s response to COVID19, check out the blog post on our cash transfer project. A special thank you to Emergency Appeal donors, Mulberry Boutique Hotel, Speak Like Khmer School, GoPhilanthropic Foundation and the South East Asia Foundation, for your generous support.

Despite the challenges of 2020, our students remained active in their communities through our Youth Leadership Project. In 2021, we will have 35 students participating in this program, and look forward to sending more updates very soon!
Nip's Meows

I hope you enjoyed our stories from 2020! I know that we will have even more exciting ‘mews’ in 2021... but you will have to stay tuned for our annual report!
With best wishes,

Keisha Gani
Development Director
