GriefShare Begins August 19 | |
A new GriefShare session, facilitated by Allen Bates and Charlie Mason, will meet online on Mondays at 6:30pm, Aug. 19 - Nov. 11. This group meets weekly for 90 minutes and is open to anyone who has lost a loved one. Through videos, discussions and a workbook, you will move through mourning to joy and find comfort in sharing your loss with others in similar situations. | |
Memorial Service for Arlene Pilling | |
A memorial service for Arlene Pilling will be held on Sat., Aug. 24, at 11:00am in the Bridges Family Center, with refreshments to follow. A graveside service will be held that morning at 9:30am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery (22555 Cristo Rey Dr in Los Altos). Arlene passed away on July 11, not July 17 as previously stated. Please continue to keep the Pilling family in your prayers. | |
DivorceCare Begins August 29 | |
We offer a DivorceCare small group to help anyone work through the emotional pain of separation or divorce. All are welcome to come and have a supportive team walk alongside you, regardless of where you are in the process. We will meet online on Thursday nights, 6:30-8:30PM, Aug. 29 - Nov. 21. | |
Church of the Redeemer's Mediterranean Festival | |
Our neighbors down the street, the Antiochian Orthodox Church of the Redeemer, have invited us to their annual Mediterranean Festival, Sept. 7-8 on their campus (380 Magdalena Ave). They'll enjoy food, games, music, live entertainment, a raffle, and more! | |
Deaconesses and Deacons in Need of Volunteers | |
Bridges’ Deaconess and Deacon Boards are recruiting volunteers to join in the important mission of hearing the word and doing what it says (James 1:22) along with the combined need for faith and action (James 2:16). Our Deaconesses continually support the Bridges family in ways both seen and behind the scenes, and we hope to grow the Deacon Board to similarly serve and also partner with the Deaconesses on joint projects. Have you been looking for ways to serve with other dedicated people? Whether you’d like to send an encouraging note, visit someone in the hospital, give a ride, or something else that excites you, only sign up when you are available and in areas where you want to contribute.
