Recent Highlights:

Dr. Manesh Girn's workshops in Reno on May 4th at The Studio Reno offered invaluable insights into the cutting-edge field of psychedelic science. The first workshop, "Psychedelic Science for Mental Health & Medical Professionals: Navigating the Frontier of Healing," provided an in-depth look at the latest research and applications of psychedelics in mental health and medical fields. The second workshop, "Rewiring the Brain: Psychedelics, Neuroplasticity & Healing," explored the transformative potential of psychedelics in promoting neuroplasticity and healing. Both sessions were highly informative and received glowing praise by attendees!

SPS shared a booth with NCPM at PsyCon in Las Vegas, collaborating on efforts to promote the benefits of psychedelic medicine. NCPM President Jon Dalton gained new fans after his presentation, where he discussed the evolution of SB242 in Nevada's unique political environment and the need for effective mental health solutions. He emphasized the importance of a dual-pronged approach to legalization, stating, "Only through regulated legalized access to psychedelic medicine will we be able to offer psychedelic-assisted therapy to our law enforcement, our firefighters, and our 911 dispatchers, many of whom suffer from PTSD."

Rachel Flower's event, "Somatic Breathwork and Soundbath," provided an exceptional opportunity to connect with your breath and shift focus from your mind to your body. Through her skilled facilitation, participants experienced the profound benefits of breathwork, which involves the conscious control and alteration of breathing patterns to enhance mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. The session left attendees feeling revitalized and deeply grounded. We appreciate you, Rachel!

Bryan's talk, "Leadership, Motivation, and Meaning," brilliantly explored the transformative potential of psychedelic compounds, coaching, therapy, and artificial intelligence in creating a better future for ourselves. He demonstrated how these tools can enhance leadership, motivation, and a sense of purpose. The discussion effectively highlighted inspiring ways to equip ourselves, our friends, families, and communities to lead more meaningful lives. Thank you, Bryan, for sharing your expertise!

Welcome to June!

Somatic Breathwork & Immersive Sound Bath with Live DJ Randy Gates

Join us for the opportunity to set down your armor, fully surrender, and get into an altered state of consciousness that shifts perspective and allows you to connect with your body.

In our body is where we often store unprocessed emotions, trauma, etc. This physical practice can acknowledge and even move, shift, or release that energy. Music and vibrational sound also have the ability to affect our consciousness. Stacking these together creates a very powerful experience. If this piques your curiosity, join us! Come experience transformational breathwork stacked with an electronic music vibrational journey.

There can be Tibetan singing bowls rung on each participant during the journey, along with reiki being performed on participants. Anyone experiencing anxiety, fear, or blocks related to the experience is invited to come early and receive an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or “tapping” session to prepare them for the journey.

Randy Gates is a breathwork facilitator and wellness educator. He is a professional firefighter with Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue in Washoe County, and a member of their peer support team and health and wellness committee.

With a master’s degree in education, Randy has a passion for teaching and emphasizes the value of proactive practices/habits to minimize stress, depression, and anxiety. Mushrooms: Allies to Humanity with Walker Sauls

Let’s take a dive into how mushrooms can assist humanity as we confront the many challenges of our modern world. In a society that has created degrees of disconnection and separation that are unprecedented in the natural world, we are in need of a reclamation of connection. Connection to ourselves, connection to each other, and connection to our Earth. In this talk, we will discuss how mushrooms and fungi may offer some very important keys that can help us unlock the door to a vibrant future.

Walker Sauls is the co-owner of Reno-based mushroom company, Happy Mushroom Co. He has been studying and working with mushrooms in various capacities for 8 years, with his journey starting on the Northern Coast of Oregon where he and his brother Andrew (co-owner of HMC) were living from 2016-2019. During those years of foraging and learning about the world of mushrooms, they discovered the potential mushrooms offer in regard to helping people move towards health and wellness on individual, collective, and environmental levels. This inspiration culminated in the creation of Happy Mushroom Co. in 2020 - a way for them to spread the good they believe mushrooms can bring the world. Learn more here.

Symbols & Meaning Integration Circle (Ullman Method) with Kathy! Every 2nd Wednesday, 5:30-7:00 PM at The Studio Reno.

"As my journey…” approach to Psychedelic Integration. This integration circle is based on the Ullman method and has typically been used for nighttime dreams. This circle is for those who are curious about finding meaning from the messages, images, symbols, stories, etc. from their psychedelic experience. The messages of the unconscious are not always clear and we may have to work to understand them. Learn more here.

Psychedelics and journey work can change the way we see the world and give us new perspectives. As parents, this has meaningful implications for shifting how we parent, including communication with our children, our co-parent relationship, and interrupting generational trauma, to name a few. Join us for a parenting integration Circle facilitated by Kathy, Charmi & Grace.
