Urban Partnership Bank Signs new Lease in Kenwood: Continues Search for new Bronzeville and Nonprofit Center locations
Chicago, IL-(March 17, 2011)- Urban Partnership Bank announced today that the bank has secured a new lease at its present Kenwood location while it moves closer to identifying a new Bronzeville location and Nonprofit Financial Center.
The new lease at its present Kenwood location at 4659 S. Cottage Grove will enable Urban Partnership Bank to equip the branch with newer technologies, offer uninterrupted service during this transition period, and make other improvements for better customer service.
"The new lease affords us the opportunity to install new infrastructures and technologies that will help us serve all of our customers and the community more effectively and efficiently," said William Farrow, president and CEO of Urban Partnership Bank.
Last December, Urban Partnership Bank announced that in keeping with its mission to create a strong and sustainable financial institution, it had decided to explore opportunities for moving its Kenwood and Bronzeville branches and one of its Nonprofit Financial Centers, located in the Loop, to nearby locations in order to better serve all of its customers and nonprofit and foundation clients.
"Urban Partnership Bank is committed to continuing to serve the needs of the Bronzeville community, and the needs of our nonprofit and foundation customers. It is why we are moving closer to identifying a new Bronzeville branch and nonprofit banking office that will make resources more accessible for generating development opportunities and support for community organizations which help build better lives and a better future," added Farrow.
While Urban Partnership Bank's search progresses, it will close its old branch at 3401 S. King Drive and NonprofitFinancialCenter at 134 N. LaSalle St., at the close of business on March 17. To minimize any inconvenience and ensure uninterrupted service the bank is directing customers in Bronzeville to visit its SouthShore location at 7054 S. Jeffery Blvd., and in Kenwood at 4659 S.
