"A Model Church:

A Church Where Everyone Belongs"

Sacred Text:

Acts 15:1-2, 12-21

Worship (in-person and online):

A Word from Rev. Ray

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

This past Sunday, King of Peace demonstrated its remarkable spirit of love and generosity. If you missed the service, whether in person or online, you missed witnessing an incredible show of support as we gifted CampOUT with a substantial supply donation and a generous offering of $7,000.00 for their summer camp for LGBTQIA+ youth. King of Peace truly exemplifies what it means to be a loving and caring congregation.

In this spirit of inclusivity and community, we are excited to announce a new four-part series beginning this Sunday entitled “A Model Church.” The first session, "A Church Where Everyone Belongs," will explore Acts 15:1-2, 12-21.

The story of the Jerusalem council in Acts 15 describes how the apostles, through their experiences and Scripture, recognized God's mercy extending to Gentiles. This raised questions about who could join the early Church and what the requirements were. As a denomination (MCC), we pride ourselves on being inclusive of everyone. Yet, we must ask ourselves: Are we inclusive enough? Can we do more to reach out to others? Join us this Sunday as we start our journey to examine how we can truly become a model church.

Come to church expecting a blessing and you will receive a blessing!

If you are an early riser, please join us for our monthly Breakfast Club on Thursday, July 11th at 9 am. We meet at Parkside Cafe, (located at 8180 49th St. N, Pinellas Park), just down from the church. It's a great way to have fellowship with others from King of Peace.

If you bought one of the "God Is Non-Binary" T-shirts, wear it to church this Sunday. July 14th is International Non-Binary Peoples' Day! Click here to find out more information about why!

This Sunday, July 14th, join Rev. Ray and Kathy Moll for a meeting of our Social Justice Team. They will meet in the Social Hall immediately after worship.

Over the next couple of Sundays, before or after church, please be sure to pick up your 2nd Quarter Giving Statements in the foyer.

ART4U is a Community Benevolence Outreach Program made possible by the generosity of the members and friends of King of Peace MCC.

Basic donations needed- markers, colored pencils, rulers, glue, scissors, drawing paper, construction paper, sketch books, magazines, even slightly used art supplies, etc.

We are VERY thankful of all donations!

We also accept check & cash donations, please mark your envelope or check "Art4U". Dwayne Shepherd will provide a receipt of the items purchased. We will accept donations every Sunday through July 28th, or you can stop by the office Monday-Thursday 9am-4pm, during the month of July. There will be a bin in the foyer to drop off your donations.

Again, on the behalf of Pinellas County Art Teachers, THANK YOU! It is helpful to spend less of our money and not feel the need for fundraisers, in order to have sufficient supplies for our Art Programs.

Art Education is VERY important for a well-rounded education!

May God's light perpetual shine on you, Thom, and may your spirit live on in all of our memories.

If you are a member of the 50th Anniversary Planning Team, please stick around after worship on Sunday, July 28th. We will meet with Kathy King in the Overflow Room.

If you are interested in becoming a member of King of Peace, we are planning on offering a Membership Class in the fall. If you are able to donate these items, please bring them to church with you on Sunday or you can drop them off at the church office Monday through Thursday from 9 am-5 pm. There will be a shopping cart in the foyer, just inside the front door, where you can please them.

Do you know of anyone within our congregation who might need some congregational care or for us to offer their name in prayer during Sunday service? If so, please email

Covenant Keepers is our Stewardship program for 2024. It provides an opportunity for you to make a covenant with God through King of Peace MCC in six areas of your life: Presence, Spiritual Growth, Prayer, Financial Support, Witness, and Service. This program is designed to help us grow as individuals and together as a Church.

Our theme this year is "There's No Place Like Home." What a journey we have been on to get “home”. As we settle in to our new facility, there is a lot to do at the church and beyond the church.  If you haven't yet filled one out, you can still do so. Put it in the offering basket, mail it to the church office (6085 Park Blvd., Pinellas Park, FL 33781) or email it to

You can get an electronic copy of the Covenant Keeper Commitment Card here.
