Brantley Center Spring Highlights
A Note from the Managing Director
David Marlett
2018 Grad Peyton McAvoy and
Dr. Marlett at the Senior Sendoff Reception
Summer has arrived and the class of 2018 has moved on to their next adventure. One of the best parts of being a professor is getting to meet a new group of students each year. One of the toughest parts is watching them leave campus when they graduate.

Recruiters often tell me that Appalachian students are different in that not only are they bright and prepared, but also they are friendly, thoughtful and engaging. We, the faculty and staff, find this to be absolutely true as we spend large amounts of time with the students in the Brantley Center and when they stop by the office to chat. As you will see in this newsletter, we also travel with them all over the US and the world. If you really want to get to know someone, travel with them for a week!

We are deeply proud of our graduates and it is an honor to spend a few years helping them prepare for a career. We also appreciate and value their occasional updates and visits to campus as their careers progress.

We look forward to welcoming a new group of students and another stellar year in the Brantley Center. Enjoy your summer!
