Show MO Act/Entertainment Industry Jobs Act – Passed Senate. SBs 52, 57, 58, 67 and 94 have been combined into one Senate Substitute bill, 94.
Community Improvement Districts/Transportation Development Districts – Passed Senate. SB 96 (Koenig, Dist. 15, Manchester) would require a CID, in order to be established, be approved by a 2/3 majority vote if the proposed district utilizes a sales tax as a proposed funding mechanism. Current law requires a TDD to submit a proposed project to the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, or to the local transportation authority, as applicable, for approval prior to the construction or funding of any project. The act would require the Commission, or local transportation authority to approve the projects with a 2/3 majority vote if the project utilizes a sales tax as a proposed funding mechanism.
Judicial Privacy Act – Passed Senate. SB 72 (Trent, Dist. 20, Springfield) modifies provisions relating to judicial privacy, including establishing the Judicial Privacy Act, the offense of unlawful posting of certain information, and the inclusion of personal information of minors in certain court documents.
Regulatory Sandbox Act – Passed House. HB 268 (Riley, Dist. 134, Springfield)
Motor Vehicle Sales – Passed House. HB 415 (O’Donnell, Dist. 95, St. Louis) would require every licensed motor vehicle dealer to collect and remit sales tax on all motor vehicles sold.
Property and Casualty Insurance – Passed House. HB 655 (Knight, Dist. 142, Lebanon) modifies provisions relating to property and casualty insurance.
