Was there something in your life that made you feel higher education was necessary?
Working in a corporate environment I witnessed individuals with a college education getting positions that I was not able to, because one of the requirements was having a college education.
What obstacles did you find daunting?
I worked a full time job and attended college, so balancing my work life and college classes was daunting at times.
What inspired you to go to school?
My inspiration to go to school was that I did not want any boundaries in my way of being successful. I believe going to college has allowed me to get over obstacles that in others ways might have limited me.
Would you have got your degree if the UC wasn’t here?
I believe I would have got my degree, but it would not have been as convenient as it was. With my situation with working and going to school, it was the perfect combo.
What advice would you give someone wanting to earn their degree?
I found it very valuable that I went to school later on, not straight out of High School, I had a much better understanding of what my major was going to be. So, the most my advice would be take your time, and find what you truly want to study.
How was your experience at the UC?
My experience at the UC was GREAT!! The staff was always very helpful, and the resources at the UC were second to none.
