Native Seed Library
As some of our patrons know, planting native and pollinator-friendly flora is a cause very close to my heart. So I am delighted that the library is part of a local initiative to revive the Morris County chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey. As a first step, we look forward to starting our own native seed library where patrons can pick up free seed packets to sow in their own backyards and gardens. Look forward to our “grand opening” in mid-March and upcoming native plant workshops.
Borrow a Brother Sewing Machine
Last year we received a grant for 6 brand-new Brother sewing machines. One of the conditions of the grant was that 2 of the machines would be available to our patrons to take home on loan. Patrons will be required to take a class in operating the machines before borrowing. Throughout the spring and early summer we will be conducting sewing workshops for both adults and children. Stay tuned!
