Greetings From The Library Staff

Dear friend,

Summers are usually very busy at the library, and this year is no different. Our summer reading program for children is in full swing with scores of enthusiastic young readers participating in the many fun programs created by Miss Allie. The July highlight was indubitably the Stuffed Animal Sleepover. We have included the slideshow from the “sleepover” below – enjoy!

Our friendly landscapers have also been busy. You may have noticed that our gorgeous backyard patio was expanded to accommodate more seating for our garden events. We hope you’ll join us on August 4 for a screening of Hook, the next in our Summer of Spielberg movie series.

Warm regards,

Lotte

Staff Reading Suggestion

The Pride of the Yankees combines show business and sports. It is the story of the famous movie about Lou Gehrig. Anybody who is interested in either field (I am interested in both) might find this book interesting. It is written by Richard Sandomir - one of the leading media columnists for the New York Times.
